Labyrinth and Lavender

Yesterday, I was thinking of some happy points along my way of my journey to joy. And walking around a labyrinth brought me an explainable jolt of joy when I reached the center. Labyrinths go back to medevil times. And, of course, a cathedral in France is noted for the design and still used as model here in America today. Believe it or not there are 65 labyrinths in New Jersey. Most of them are on church grounds or spiritual centers. The one pictured is from Mad Lavender. When I was at Omega institute there was one there. And, while on break I was happy to have something to do while waiting close by. It made me laugh out loud when I got to center. (I STILL) don't know why. There were an assortment of little trinkets left my many in the center. It may have been I saw a couple of candy bars. But, it really did get me thinking why walking in circles makes you feel so good. This past weekend there were some lavender plants in a circle for what might be the beginning of a laberyth. This morning I found out there is a laberynth at St. Andrews church in Spring Lake. My mission was to buy some lavender and I got a beautiful Hibiscus tree at Barlows for $10. I bought some irises the other day. So, I thought it was a nice day to try to to cut the lavender in a bouquet since it is already flowering. And, try to propergate it. There is an excellent instagram account I just started watching and she is amazing. It is SO hot out I just finished weeding and watering and had to take a break and decided to write and cool off. I will make a story in my instagram and ends up this was a great way to celebrate Bastille day. This is the day France celebrates thier freedom. So, Happy Bastille day and enjoy this summery weekend! Life is teaching me how brave I have to be, even in retirement. I really thought I would have more control of my life. Decision making would become easier. I am not learning the hard way. I am enjoying the process But, the hardest lesson I learned this past year is I don't have control over anything. The Little One

In 2020 the first post I did was to celebrate the four year old me. I finally feel like I can put myself back in that place again. But, look forward to all that is ahead of me. This year of not working was clearing my mind, heart and soul. I felt in order to do that, I had to feel everything. Think about the past and feel it. And, it was wonderful. But, I realized how long, naturally, I have been talking to myself, unkindly. So, it has been a process. A process I have taken great pride in. I listened to what makes me happy and peaceful. If it made me nervous, I did it anyway. But, when it came to feeling vulnerable, I took a step back. Trust of others is my biggest issue. And, it is still something I am dealing with. Well, golly gee!!! how lucky can I be? I get to write again about how resillient and strong I can be!!!! Sounds pretty sarcastic, but it really is not. I am just as surprised as you are going to be when you read what I have just been through. A year ago I noticed a strange pain in my arm. I looked at my back to see if there was anything unusual. And, there was a growth, I never saw before. And, through the weeks and months to follow, it would bleed. I didn't know whether the black it was turning was a scab or something to worry about. Since, I am on this journey of not letting my worry and concern overcome my way of thinking. I just went with the thought of getting myself together financially after leaving my job. I filled out forms. I applied for anything and everything to make sure I was financially secure.
